Typhoon Kalmaegi is passing through the Philippines and moving towards Viet Nam, expected to make landfall on Friday 7 November 2025. The typhoon is causing heavy rains and dangerous winds, with gusts up to 165 kph, and may result in further flooding and landslides.

Call us if you need consular assistance. If your call is not an emergency, such as a death or arrest of a New Zealander overseas, you should call during New Zealand business hours, or get in touch with the local embassy.
