It reflects risks, and our assessment of what these might mean for New Zealanders. Our assessment may also take account of the actions local authorities are taking to minimise the risk, and our ability to provide you with assistance.

Guinea - Except border regions with Sierra Leone, Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire (Extreme Risk)
Guinea-Bissau - except the northwest part of the country that borders the Casamance region in Senegal (extreme risk)
India - eastern states of Tripura, Manipur, Assam, Nagaland
Indonesia - Central Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua provinces
Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories - the West Bank
Kenya - high density, low income areas of Nairobi, particularly the suburbs of Kibera, Mathare, Kasirani and Eastleigh
Kosovo - North Mitrovica and the northern municipalities of Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Zvecan
Lebanon - Except for Southern Lebanon (south of the Litani River) and Palestinian refuge camps (Extreme Risk)
Libya - Tripoli and the north coast cities of Zuwara, Az Zawiya, Khums and Misrata
Mauritania - except western and northern regions of Mauritania, particularly in the border areas adjacent with Mali, Algeria, and Western Sahara (extreme risk)
Mexico - city of Ciudad Juarez in the state of Chihuahua
Myanmar - state of Rakhine, borders with China, Laos and Thailand, and townships of Meiktila, Mahlaing, Tharzi, Wundwin and Yamethin (Mandalay Division, Central Myanmar)
Nigeria - except for Niger Delta States of Delta, Anambra, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River (extreme risk)
Niger - Niamey (all other areas extreme risk)
Philippines - Provinces of Mindanao not covered in the Extreme Risk areas.
Rwanda - Border region with Burundi
South Korea - North-Western Islands (including Yeonpyeong-do, Daecheong-do, and Baengnyeong-do)
Sudan - Khartoum
Thailand Provinces of Narathiwat, Yala, Pattani and Songkhla, Thailand/Cambodia border and Thailand/Burma border
Tajikistan - Areas bordering Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan
Tunisia - Areas bordering Algeria
Turkey - Areas close to the border with Iran, Iraq and Syria
Uzbekistan - Areas bordering Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan (including the city of Andijan)
Zambia - border areas with the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola and Mozambique
Yemen - Except Governorates of Ma’rib, Shabwah, Hadramaut and Sa’ada (extreme risk)
